The Copenhagen Wheel will be unveiled on December 15 at the COP15 United Nations Climate Conference. The project was conceived and developed by the SENSEable City Lab for the Kobenhavns Kommune. The prototype bikes were realizedwith the help of our technical partner Ducati Energia and funding from the Ministry for the Environment. Progical Solutions LLC provided technical support for the iphone control of the bikes.

Der Gesetzgeber schreibt ja eine handvoll Teile vor die ein verkehrstaugliches Fahrrad mitbringen muss… wie das Rad auszusehen hat, wie der Rahmen konstruiert ist, oder wieviele Räder man verbaut ist aber völlig egal… mir ist nichtmal bekannt, das es eine maximal zulässige Länge, Höhe oder Breite gibt… Demnach wäre alles erlaubt was auf eine Spur geht und unter einer Straßenlaterne durchpasst – jetzt kommt der Winter – viel Spass beim Schweissen…
